  • Because patients may not require a video consultation
  • The risk of inappropriate images is reduced
  • So patients can also send images of their area of concern e.g. lesions, moles, rashes or other minor skin conditions directly to their clinician

What’s new

It improves the interface for video consultations because users now have the ability to view full screen at the resolution of the camera. We have also included the ability for the clinician to capture images during a scheduled consultation and save to the patient’s episode of care.

Benefit

Feedback from users was that the interface could in fact be more user friendly. Image capture now allows the clinician to assess the area of concern after the consultation has taken place and then save it to the patient’s notes.

Impact on users

Clinicians will now need to capture an image and save it to the episode of care during a scheduled video consultation.

Impact on users
