Repeat Prescriptions

With the Online Repeat Prescription Service your patients can request a repeat prescription any time without having to visit the practice.

How It Works

• PATIENT: To renew a prescription the patient completes an online form with their renewal request. On completion, the form is held securely until retrieved by your practice. Once the patient has entered their repeat prescription on the first occasion, they can simply retrieve it to request a repeat the following month.
• PRACTICE: The practice can retrieve all the Repeat Prescription requests that are made at any time. It is often convenient to process a whole batch of requests together. As you process each request the system keeps track of which requests have been processed and which are still pending.
• For each renewal request you can indicate whether the request was successfully fulfilled, or whether the request could not be completed. A message is sent via the secure link to the patient, so you don't waste time trying to contact them by phone.
• As a security measure an audit trail is maintained of the staff members who have viewed and processed each request.
